In our experience, graduates that act on their mentor’s suggestions find their own opportunities and get offers. They even become experts themselves on customizing resumes, researching and identifying opportunities, building and establishing a solid professional network, and behavioral interviewing techniques. It won’t be long before your graduate will be coaching friends and family on the skills they have learned through FutureStreet!

By the way, this early training, support, and confidence will become the lifelong foundation and cornerstone of your graduate’s long-term capacity to advance his or her career.

Your graduate may be experiencing stress and anxiety, a common reaction after graduation if their career direction isn’t clear.

Many new graduates feel a little lost and it’s hard for them to self-motivate and get into action when they don’t know what to do or which direction to go.

Stress and anxiety in a graduate can manifest itself in different ways. For some, the stress and anxiety can become so acute that it is paralyzing. You’ll see a variety of avoidance behaviors, but most common is the graduate who just can’t seem to get the job search process started.

This is where FutureStreet can really help. Our graduate’s self-confidence perks up significantly once we have worked with them to establish a career direction and create a plan of action. Add solid training, plenty of practice, and consistent mentoring and these graduates gain confidence, motivation and job offers.

We offer a free planning session with your graduate to learn more about his or her unique needs and concerns. This discovery process allows us to work together to select the program that will reap the best results for your graduate.

We then offer three programs (hyperlink to programs on this page) with varying levels of support. How we spend our time within each program is based on the needs of your graduate.

We get into action!

Together, we create a job search plan and begin executing your individual program. Graduates local to the Portland area will meet with their mentor face-to-face, on the phone or over Skype. We will meet with non-local graduates over Skype and phone.

It depends on where you are in the job search process.

This is an adaptable process to meet your unique needs.

There are periods of time that are highly collaborative and time intensive, such as when you are developing your resume or preparing for a significant or final interview. During those intense periods, you will likely have several conversations with your mentor in a week.

There are other periods of time in the job search process that you will be doing research or working on materials in connection with your job search. You might only connect with your mentor once during those weeks.
